Permanent Diaconate Diaconate Formation Training takes place at Sacred Heart Monastery in Richardton, N.D. on the first weekend of each month. Deacon Quarterly Education Meetings are scheduled on a regular basis throughout the year. The director recruits and promotes qualified men for the permanent diaconate. He works closely with the vicar for deacons and is directly responsible to the bishop for all aspects of deacon formation for the diocese. The director also oversees the continuing education and needs of the ordained deacons in their life and ministry.
